Manitoba Advanced Education and Training

This project would not have been possible without the generous support of the Manitoba Advanced Education and Training ITP program.

Industry Training Partnerships (ITP) is strongly committed to developing workable human resource solutions together with industry associations, employer groups, unions and other labour market partners.

Manitoba Music
Since 1987, Manitoba Music has promoted the work of Manitoba artists and has provided professional development services to help music industry workers succeed as cultural entrepreneurs. Through its programs and services, Manitoba Music helps people in the music industry find their community and build sustainable careers.

Our mandate is:

  • to foster development of the Manitoba sound recording industry;
  • to promote programs assisting the economic development and viability of the industry;
  • to advocate for the industry with governments;
  • to provide professional development and training;
  • and to represent the interests of the industry to local, provincial and national governments and the private sector.

Saskatchewan Learning

The mandate of Saskatchewan Learning is to advance the social, economic and personal well-being of Saskatchewan people. This is accomplished through leadership and support programs from Early Childhood Development, through Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12, to technical training and post-secondary education, and public library services. The Department provides responsive leadership to meet the learning and development needs of Saskatchewan children, youth and adults, and to meet the employment needs of the Provincial labour market.

Saskatchewan Recording Industry Association

The Saskatchewan Recording Industry Association is a member-based, non-profit corporation representing the four components of the music and sound recording industries and community of Saskatchewan: Creative (e.g., songwriters, lyricists, composers, creative writers/directors); Interpretive (e.g., musicians, vocalists, arrangers, conductors, producers); Technical (e.g., sound engineer, stage hand, tour support staff, studios, computer technologist); and Administrative (e.g., managers, promoters, lawyers, marketing directors, record labels, publishers, accountants, retail, media, venues, multi-media, agents, film and video producers, media duplicators, graphic artists, publicists, photographers, and distributors).

We develop and promote the music and sound recording industries of Saskatchewan through partnering, education, effective communication, community involvement and encouraging fair and equitable compensation.
